*Clearance* Stratocaster Compatible Pro Roasted Flame Maple and Rosewood Guitar Neck Unfinished Paddle HeadstockThis Unfinished paddle neck has a few minor faults seen at the heel and headstock. The heel of the neck has a small chip taken out of out, fortunately, this will be hidden once the neck is fitted and won’t affect fitment or playability at all. The other cosmetic fault on this neck is seen at the headstock, where you can see that it has been filled out just past the nut. Building your dream guitar? Here we have a stunning roasted flame maple Guitar Anatomy Pro Series Strat Neck. This unfinished half-paddle neck features a more modern 12″ fretboard radius and uses our new Pro Series fret installation technique that allows for perfectly spherical rounded fret ends.We have decided to leave this neck unfinished and with a half-paddle headstock to allow you to have more flexibility with your project. All of our necks also come with bone nuts and a two-way truss rod installed.This neck has a heel designed to fit a Stratocaster body; however, we do have the same neck available with a heel to fit a Telecaster.We would recommend a boiled linseed oil finish on the neck like this to get a really fast-playing smooth finish. Almost any finish can be used, though. Applying the finish to these unfinished flame maple necks is particularly satisfying as it’s when you get the opportunity to truly see the grain come to life.With this neck, we decided to go with a 2-piece construction as this further enhances the stability of the roasted maple, making an ultra-stable neck.What is Roasted Maple? Our roasted maple necks undergo a special kiln drying process which involves heating the wood to over 200 degrees in a special kiln, removing the moisture from the wood. This process vulcanises the wood, making it stronger. The big advantage is that after this process, the wood becomes much less susceptible to moisture and climate changes, resulting in a more stable and predictable piece of wood.  This is great for necks, especially, and will minimise the need for adjustments between seasons and different weather conditions.  An extra added bonus from this process is that, while stabilising figured maple, which is typically not so stable, it also greatly enhances the colour and figure in the wood.  The finished product usually looks stunning, has improved tone and increased sustain!All of our necks also come with bone nuts and 2-way truss rods installed.This neck is perfect as an upgrade or if you are building your own parts caster.
